.ppx, Eimear Murphy

When: 16 / 23 / 30 March @ 6.30pm

Where: Zoom

.pptx is a series of workshops by artist Eimear Murphy. Through PowerPoint presentations Eimear guides and encourages participants to find new ways of moving, looking and interacting with everyday objects. With these common objects participants will find new possibilities to engage with their immediate spaces, whether that be their classroom, bedroom, kitchen or garden. Eimear provides vital outlets for new ways of seeing and experiencing individual domestic spaces.

Breakdown of the workshops:

Workshop 1 – In this workshop participants will experience a mis-match of their senses and spaces – exploring questions like do you feel sounds? Participants will be guided by artist Eimear Murphy with partial instructions by Salvatore of Lucan.

Workshop 2 – This workshop sees participants physically consider methods of grouping separate spaces with instructions like connect two rooms in your house.

Participants will be guided by artist Eimear Murphy with partial instructions by Salvatore of Lucan.

Workshop 3 – In this final workshop participants will practically consider the limits, or rather unlimited, nature of objects – exploring object-hood by binding unrelated items together. Participants will be guided by artist Eimear Murphy with partial instructions by Salvatore of Lucan.

The sessions will take place on zoom. A link will be sent prior to the workshop.
