Parking
Disabled and Free Parking: 3 Disabled Spaces available on the Strand Road, in front of the Art Centre, plus 3 one hour street parking spaces. Mon to Sat 8am to 6:30pm
Bicycles can be parked in the foyer of Void Gallery. Also see the car park information below
Paid Parking: Cash or the Ring-Go App.
Victoria Market: 81 spaces including 4 disabled and 2 e-car charging point spaces. 80p per hour.
William Street: 176 spaces. 70p per hour

Blind & Partially Sighted Visitors
Large print information about each exhibition can be collected from the front desk. If you require alternative formats, please email hello@derryvoid.com.
Audio-described tours of the exhibition are available free of charge for visitors who are blind or vision impaired if booked in advance. To book a place or for more information contact hello@derryvoid.com
Hearing Assistance
A portable Roger Pen hearing system is available for those with hearing aids or hearing difficulties. This can be collected from the front desk.
Autism Spectrum
Void Art Centre is proud to be an Autism NI Impact Award Champion. You can view and download our Social Story in advance of your visit. Please ask at the front desk to access our sensory pack or quiet space.
Tailored guided tours of the shows and relaxed performances are available if booked in advance at hello@derryvoid.com.
Wheelchair Access
Our entrance is wheelchair accessible and all spaces are on the same level. Our fully accessible toilet is located off of Gallery 2.
Assistance Animals
Assistance animals are welcome. We have a water bowl and doggie bags at the front desk.
Toilets and Baby Care Facilities
Wheelchair accessible toilets and baby changing facilities are attached to gallery 2.
Seating

What are we doing?
To help us make the Void Art Centre website a positive place for everyone, we have been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user friendly for everyone.
The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for Void’s website.

Social Narrative Videos
Derry City and Strabane District Council’s Access and Inclusion team have led on the design of Social Narrative Videos, aimed to be particularly helpful for disabled and neuro diverse visitors with additional needs to plan their visit.
The initiative is supported with funding from the Department for Communities Access and Inclusion programme and the videos can be accessed on the Council’s websites.


Group and School Visits to Void
Group and school visits are led by an art centre team member. Our aim is to help you and your group engage and respond to the themes or works in the exhibition.
Free Exhibition Tours
You will be led through the gallery space with a guide who will focus on a few particular pieces and lead a discussion during the session.
Exhibition Tour and Workshop
To include a practical making session into the visit we must arrange an artist facilitator to be onsite. The fee and details will be discussed when the booking inquiry is made.

Our exhibition space is ever changing, therefore we must consider a number of different things before a group or school visits. Our Pre-Visit Questionnaire to make sure we are prepared to accommodate all members of your group.
We like to take photographs of all our learning events for our social media, archive and funders. We always ask permission in advance and have the leader of the group sign a Photo Release Form on behalf of their group, but if you would prefer photos not taken at the tour, please let us know.
