As part of Rosa Barba's exhibition, Void Engage will be running various events, such as workshops and tours. Void will also be working with school and community groups, providing tailored tours and workshops.


Youth Forum

Wednesday 18th April, 4:30-6pm

Resident artist facilitator Karen Cassidy will meet with Void's Youth Forum. She will give them a tour of the current exhibition and conduct a 'Charcoal Erase Workshop'! Images to follow…


Freeze Frame Fems

Wednesday 18th April, 7-9pm

Resident artist facilitator Karen Cassidy will meet with the Freeze Frame Fems group who gather together twice for each exhibition. This meeting will comprise of a tour of the exhibition and discussion of its core themes. The group will then make works inspired by the exhibition and these will be presented at a second meeting towards the end of the exhibition.


Director's Tour

Wednesday 25th April, 1pm

Join Void DIrector Mary Cremin as she brings visitors on a private tour of our current exhibition by Rosa Barba – 'between objects in the waking world'. Mary will guide you through the show and discuss its themes and how it relates to the past two exhibitions 'Where History Begins' and 'Every Day Words Disappear' which are themed around the past, present, and future. She will also answer any questions that you may have.

Charcoal Erase – Family Workshops

Saturday 28th April, 2-4pm

Join artist facilitator Karen Cassidy as you use bread and gauze as a mark-making tool to erase charcoal!

Create a free standing sculpture. Parents can work with their children, using willow and tape to create fun, abstract sculpture to take home or put in your garden.
