Join us for the next ‘Closing Circles’ Reading Group – this time, we’re moving from online to an in person session at Void.
📖 For this session, we’ll be reading excerpts from the text ‘Active Hope’ by Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone. This book was recommended to us by Eve Olney, a socially engaged artist, activist, curator and educator who recently facilitated a training session with the team as part of our programme Re-turning.
‘Active Hope’ expands on the role that hope plays in times of crisis, and equips us with tools to create a life-sustaining society 🤝 The book looks at the challenges we face due to climate change, political polarisation, economic upheaval and the planetary emergency, and proposes ways that we can strengthen our capacity to face this crisis with unexpected resilience and creative power.
