An online reading group as part of Void Art Centre’s programme, Composting for the future, facilitated by curator Cecelia Graham. This reading group will think through the methodology and provocations put forward in the text Composting Feminisms and Environmental Humanities by Astrida Neimanis and Jennifer Mae Hamilton. Together, we will chat through the idea of a ‘permeable we’ and creating the condition of possibility for one another to thrive.
The reading will be sent in advance of the event via email.
Access: Please do let us know if you have any access requirements beforehand, by emailing hello@derryvoid.com. Please note, this session may include a group reading, if you would rather not read aloud, please include this.

Cecelia Graham is a curator based between Belfast, Derry and Mid-Ulster in the north of Ireland.Cecelia explores collective knowledge gathering and non-hierarchical labour practices in order to challenge notions of hyper-productivity, disciplinary borders and power structures often relied on within institutions. Her work considers modes of working that emerge from collaborative and slow methods within ecology, agriculture, craft and messy acts of love and vulnerability. Challenging the language of professionalism, Cecelia seeks alternative modes of advocating for and supporting a community of artists that resist strict, slick outputs.
