Join us on Tuesday 18 February 2025, from 5.30pm – 7.30pm for an intimate gathering as we explore the poetics of resistance and solidarity though collective readings and discussion. Participants are invited to bring a poem, a text, or some words in any language that tremble with the topic and practice of solidarity. Collectively, we will read, translate, and consider how the written word and poetry can be powerful ingredients in emancipatory efforts. There will be a writing prompt at the end.

This event will be facilitated by Angelina Radaković, a cultural worker based in London. She is the curator at The Mosaic Rooms, London, overseeing exhibitions and live programmes. Her current research resides in the link between time and memory in relation to the Non-Aligned Movement and its relevance today. She is part of Old Mountain Assembly, a body exploring speculative practices from the Balkans and beyond. She’s not a poet but writes poems late at night and in secret.

Angelina is visiting Derry during a research residency at IMMA researching Ireland / Palestine solidarities both historically and in the urgent present moment  She is drawn to the ways in which solidarity trembles across culture—through art, music, literature, and the streets—paying particular attention to grassroots and countercultural movements that challenge dominant narratives.
