The team at Void would like to wish you all a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year! We will be on Christmas break from 19 December 2021 to 4 January 2022. Our current exhibition The Shrinking Universe will continue until 15 January.
We have had an exciting year at Void. In April we moved into our new premises – 10 Waterloo Place. Our new location has brought visual arts to the heart of the city, and allowed us to further focus on our Engagement programme.
We were delighted to welcome you all back after a year online with exhibitions such as Before the Cypress Broke in collaboration with Beirut Art Residency, CHOREOGRAPH with artist Elizabeth Price, Beating A Retreat with artist Cevdet Erek and our current show The Shrinking Universe with Eva Rothschild. In particular, we have enjoyed hosting activities at the gallery such as Curiosity Club for families and workshops for adults and young people. Offsite activities have also continued with SUIL: Lines of Longitude, our Billboard Project with Locky Morris, Willie Doherty, Anne Tallentire, and Helen Cammock and David Beattie’s Slowtime.
This year we launched Void Visionaries, Void’s youth programme for 15 – 20 year olds. We are excited to see what the group create in the new year.
A special thank you to all our wonderful facilitators, artists and Board. We would also like to extend our gratitude to our supporters, volunteers and funders.
Looking forward to 2022, we will bring you work of artists including Aleana Egan, Invernomuto, Luke Fowler and Isabel Nolan. We will also continue David Beattie and Alan Phelan’s projects as part of Void Offsites.
