Blind & Partially Sighted Visitors

Large print information about each exhibition can be collected from the front desk. If you require alternative formats, please email admin@derryvoid.com.

Audio-described tours of the exhibition are available free of charge for visitors who are blind or vision impaired if booked in advance. To book a place or for more information contact engage@derryvoid.com

Hearing Assistance

A portable Roger Pen hearing system is available for those with hearing aids or hearing difficulties. This can be collected from the front desk.

Dementia

At Void we are proud that we are a Dementia Friendly gallery. Our learning team have received training in the Meet Me at MoMA ethos in order to effectively provide those living with dementia an effective and fulfilling visit to our gallery. A structured tour and workshop (if wanted) is available for people living with dementia and their carers. Please contact engage@derryvoid.com

We also offer outreach visits to eligible community organisations who cannot access the gallery, with tailored presentations/workshops exploring the current exhibition.

Autism Spectrum

Void is proud to be an Autism NI Impact Award Champion. You can view and download our Social Story in advance of your visit. Please ask at the front desk to access our sensory pack or quiet space.

Tailored guided tours of the shows and relaxed performances are available if booked in advance at engage@derryvoid.com.

Wheelchair Access

Our entrance is wheelchair accessible and all spaces are on the same level. Our fully accessible toilet is located off of Gallery 2.

Assistance Animals

Assistance animals are welcome. We have a water bowl and doggie bags at the front desk.

Toilets and baby care facilities

Wheelchair accessible toilets and baby changing facilities are attached to gallery 2.

Seating
